The construction of the RUBBERHOUSE seems to be floating from the plot land. With the contrast color of wood brown and black towards outside look creates the distinctive presence of the house itself. The RUBBERHOUSE is greatly designed by CITYFORSTER – architecture + urbanism in perfection. This forceful house is located in Almere, The Netherlands. This house is built as a single family residence with the touch of energy efficient and sustainable cross laminated timber construction. The entire look of the house has a mean of simplicity as a simple living space. What do you think so far? It seems to be so much comfortable staying inside.
The RUBBERHOUSE and its complete information
Clad in a black EPDM rubber skin, the RUBBERHOUSE creates unique impression from outside. Living inside will be so cool under the exclusive roof design. The existing RUBBERHOUSE is inspired from the archetypical and simple form of Dutch barn architecture. Its open terrace is finished by untreated larchwood perfected by unique furniture. Well, actually the presence of RUBBERHOUSE is divided into two storey parts. At the ground floor, it contains an office, WC, bathroom and cloakroom. And the upper level of the house places bedroom with ensuite bathroom and walk in wardrobe.

“The RUBBERHOUSE is an experimental single family house built in energy efficient and sustainable cross laminated timber construction, clad in a black EPDM rubber skin. Being awarded first prize group in the 2006 competition “Eenvoud” (Simplicity), the RUBBERHOUSE has been designed as core and shell and is now one of 12 houses in the experimental new development “De Eenvoud” in Almere (NL).
