Ropmaker view is indeed very inspiring with the presence of dramatic stair design inside. The site of Ropemaker is perfectly designed by Clive Wilkinson Architects by taking defined location in Ropemaker Place, London. The site occupies total area of around 217,500 square feet with various important spaces inside. The building of Ropemaker is kind of a banking service site with a transparency concept of every space and connected with accessible stairs which are finished in stylish color of red. The stair could become the main point of the Ropemaker itself.
The Ropemaker and its detail
The site of Ropemaker contains several important spaces in six floors. The building shelters a large atrium, meeting POD, café room, conference room, kitchen and also client dining room as special. These six large floors of the site could accommodate up 1,800 employees. The main building Ropemaker shows very sustainable and functional building as a place to run business activity. Many sustainability features include significant decreases in energy consumption, waste and elevator usage, and net carbon footprint reduction. The use of a computer-controlled daylight harvesting system with LED lighting could keep the energy.
A glance review of Ropemaker based on archdaily.com
Macquarie’s Ropemaker Place was designed as a model for a new transparency in banking services revolving around an open atrium and connecting staircase.
By virtue of their size, large corporations face a spatial problem of creating a unified community and leveraging their considerable knowledge sharing potential. Macquarie, an Australian financial services company, took a radical approach to connecting its separate divisions with its new London headquarters. Having been fragmented in different buildings, Macquarie leased 216,000SF in 6 large floors for 1,800 staff, in a new LEED Platinum/BREAAM rated building.
