The mighty construction of Roncero House has been attracted lots of attentions. Viewed from front point, the house seems to be built with contemporary design enclosed by white fences. Designed by the experienced architect of ALT arquitectura / Angel Luis Tendero, Bernardo Cummins, the Roncero House is located at Madrid, Spain. What you are looking above is the look of swimming pool which connects the side yard towards the front part of the house. The Roncero House is a two-story house with distinct entrances on each floor. Built in a slope, the existing house reveals a concrete materialization.

The Roncero House and its simple description

So expressive – that is the real façade of Roncero House. Side point becomes the location of the large garden completed with the swimming pool. Looked from side, the house seems to be arranged of stack of two rectangular boxes. At the end of the first floor, it is located open wooden terrace with distinctive roof design to give plenty sunlight. For the wall construction, it is wrapped by concrete materials of stainless steel and the windows are aluminum finished steel. All looks very visible in sophistication and expression.

A glance review of Roncero House based on archdaily.com

“This house is perhaps the most expressive done by ALT arquitectura. They designed the house with huge concrete surfaces flying over the ground, without giving too many clues of structural performance. We were looking for a non-logical structure to provide spaces with something magical.
The volume setting has been designed to deceive the intuitive structural sense that tells us why things do not fall. Contemplating large and heavy volumes of concrete without knowing where they hold creates an odd and pleasant sensation. The heavy becomes light. The large glass skylight manages to create the feeling of being outside, and increase the lightness of the staircase. They used calibrated round20mm, and end result has a surprising rigidity. IPE200 beams that support the treads hanging were bolted to the concrete by a plate dimension of the head of the beam.
