“Based on archdaily.com, inhabiting 6 converted shop house units at the confluence of Singapore’s historic Chinatown area and the CBD, MOD’s own design studio employs the same key principles which govern its approach to design – typological relevance, a disciplined material and tonal palette and an ‘essential’ concept. In searching for a locale to base its creative endeavors, we were determined to find a building large enough to accommodate our entire office on a single floor. We feel strongly that open communication is key to innovation and creativity; as such, our space would be without hierarchy or barriers, a truly open office.

MOD Office with the linear series of spaces
MOD Office is a truly open office ever built in Singapore. The studio of the building uses the linear series of spaces which are choreographed in between the perimeter of twin datum lines. Inside is accomplished with mirrored terminus points as daily catwalks. These catwalks are stretched by a barcode and a series of mixed program and range from gallery space, meeting spaces, open plan desks, and hot desk discussion zones to a library.
For workroom, it is totally pure black and white and allows everyone to tackle the wide array of creative exploration against neutral foil. What about the library? It is finished in an unfinished timber. So, totally, MOD Office is very fit as your office supported by efficient neighborhood.
