Tools of Schools Design are a curriculum project which is given for eight grade students. This project is given by a school of Columbia University. In doing this project, the university is collaborated with Bernhardt Design and a creative consultancy Aruliden. The consept of this project is to create the future look of the classroom.

Tools of Schools Design project requires student to be fully engaged in the design process.

They do work as if they are the expert in Tools of Schools Design project. The process is begun from observation and ideation. It is continued with hand-sketching, 3D drawing and scale models creation. This activities are indirectly taught them how to express their idea verbally and in the term of writing form.

The result of Tools of Schools Design project is exciting.

As the reward of students work in this project, some of students are given a chance to visit Bernhart Design factories. The choice of the students is based on personal essay. Thus, there are five students who get rewards.
Although not all students can take this opportunity, but they will be given a story about visiting a friend who was lucky from their report. Overall, all the students have a precious experience in designing object and express their idea into the real creation in Tools of Schools Design.
